David De Gea is set to stay at Manchester United, according to his agent, Jorge Mendes.
The Spain international has been linked with a switch to Real Madrid in recent months and only has only 17 months left of his contract at Old Trafford.
However, Mendes has sought to put an end to speculation, insisting that that De Gea, 24, is happy to stay put.
As quoted on the Sky Sports website, he said: “He has one year left on his contract and I think that he will stay in Manchester.
“The player will decide, but he’s happy there at the moment.”
