It has emerged that Manchester United and Chelsea are leading the chase for highly-rated Schalke star Julien Draxler and re planning on bringing him to the Premier League in the summer.
Draxler’s startling progress for Schalke has not gone unnoticed elsewhere on the continent however, with German newspaper Bild also noting the interest of Italian clubs AC Milan and Inter Milan.
And general manager of the Bundesliga outfit Horst Heldt, has admitted that the speculation linking the midfielder with a move away from the Veltins-Arena is tangible.
“There has always been reported interest from international clubs,” said Heldt. “And now we have had inquiries for Julian.” (Daily Express)
The lad is very gifted and has all the potential in the world to make a real impact on the beautiful game. So when the window opens up, it will be very difficult for the German outfit to keep hold of him with two of the Premier Leagues best eyeing his signature.
