Man United close in on big Dutchman after target opens door to summer deal

Long-term Manchester United target Virgil Van Dijk has dropped a massive hint be wants a Premier League move.

Celtic would be prepared to sell for £10million with United, Tottenham, Southampton and a host of German clubs monitoring the 23-year-old.

And the Dutchman has opened the door to a possible deal after criticizing the standard of Scottish football.

Van Dijk, who still has two years of his contract left, said on the Daily Express website: “Celtic are a great club with a fantastic stadium and the fans are great.

“But the competition is not too good. I want to develop.

“If the opportunity is there, I would definitely consider a transfer. But maybe there will be nothing.”

  1. VIRGIL VAN DIJK – SO STEFAN VAN VRIJ(LAZIO) WANTS TO STAY IN ITALY AND VIRGIL WANTS TO COME TO ENGLAND.TWO GOOD CENTRE BACKS ONE IS BETTER THAN THE OTHER,

    I WOULD SURE PREFER VIRGIL THAN STEFAN.
