Manchester United have formally opened new contract talks with goalkeeper David de Gea, according to the Daily Star website.
The brilliant Spaniard has developed into a real world great at United after an impressive season and has attracted the interest from Real Madrid and Barcelona.
However, the Daily Star website says United are ready to offer the 24-year-old a huge £200,000-a-week contract to keep him out of Real Madrid’s clutches.
His agent Jorge Mendes said recently: “David is amazing, he’s brilliant. He’s a Man United player and has a contract there.
“You have to respect that but things change every five minutes.”
