Man United have door opened in South American chase

There has been some reports which have claimed Napoli will not try to re-sign Paris Saint-Germain winger and Manchester United target Ezequiel Lavezzi this summer

The Argentine winger is widely expected to leave the Parc des Princes at the end of the season and had been linked with a return to Napoli.

However, the Serie A club’s president Aurelio De Lauerntiis has said the club are not interested in taking Lavezzi back.

In comments relayed by Le 10 Sport, De Laurentiis said: “He has become an old player. A woman who goes to another man, do you take her back? It’s the same thing.”

That should clear the way for United should they wish to make a summer bid.

Whoever the club decide to replace David Moyes with will be given a £100 million transfer budget to overhaul the squad and re-establish the club as a Premier League force. (SportsDirectNews)
