Manchester United are reportedly closing in on a deal for Barcelona star Dani Alves.
This is after Barcelona manager Luis Enrique refused to be drawn into questions regarding the right-back’s contract negotiations.
Alves is free to leave Barca in the summer and has already reportedly discussed a £100,000-a-week, three-year contract with United.
And while Enrique was full of praise for his defender, he stopped short on revealing the details of fresh contract talks with Alves.
As quoted on the Sky Sports website, he said: “My team selections show I have confidence in Alves. He’s a unique player and the appropriate people will make a decision [on his renewal].”
