Man United make firm contact as Serie A superstar on way to Old Trafford?

Reports have claimed Manchester United have been in contact with Inter Milan over a possible move for Samir Handanovic, according to the Daily Mail.

The 30-year-old goalkeeper has just a year left on his San Siro contract and United want him as a replacement for David De Gea should he join Real Madrid.

The Spaniard is seemingly keen on the switch back to his homeland, and if Madrid do offer the right amount of money then he will be sold.

United signed Victor Valdes on a free contract earlier in the season but he is yet to make a single senior appearance for Louis van Gaal’s side
