Man United Officials on way to Italy to close in on £30 million deal

Manchester United officials will travel to Rome this weekend to watch £30m target Kevin Strootman’s comeback.

The Holland and Roma midfielder has been a long-term target of United’s despite being sidelined since March with a cruciate knee problem.

However, the Daily Star website has claimed officials will head out and watch him ahead of the January window.

Roma owner James Pallotta has insisted his star midfielder will not be sold – unless a rival offers in the region of £100m, but they cannot stop the player from leaving if he wants too.
