Manchester United have emerged as surprise contenders to complete a £21.8million transfer deal for Lyon striker Alexandre Lacazette, according to the Metro.
Lacazette – who is currently averaging a goal a game with 31 strikes in 31 appearances – had previously appeared set to remain with Lyon for at least another season.
However, he recently cast doubt on his future by admitting he will consider his options over the summer.
Now reports have claimed United have emerged as real contenders for his signature, as they look to continue bolstering their attack this summer.
PSG are believed to be preparing a £21.8million bid for the France international, but United could make their move by matching that offer.
