Burnley centre back Michael Keane, is in the centre of a transfer tug of war between Liverpool and Manchester United. The rivals have been tracking the player this season, as he helped Burnley build an amazing defensive unit especially during home games.
The 24 years old left United for just £2.5 million in the summer of 2015, in a bid to gain first team experience. Since that time, he has made so much progress that he is being linked with moves to some of the Premier Leagues top teams.
Liverpool have a huge defensive problem, their 2-1 home loss to Crystal Palace is a show of how erratic their defending has been this season. They have identified a number of targets to help them improve their defending, but Burnley’s Michael Keane is top of that list.
Burnley rate the defender at £25 million and would prefer to sell to another team rather than to Manchester United, but the player is believed to favour a return to Old Trafford. United stand to gain some money if he joins another team after they inserted a 25% sell on clause to his deal when he joined Burnley.
