Vancouver Whitecaps prospect Alphonso Davies, is been monitored by top Premier League teams. The winger who is just 16, has broken into the club’s first team and is now a regular starter for them.

Davies was born in Liberia, but represents Canada at youth level. He has been staring for the Whitecaps first team who have been experiencing a huge inflow of scouts at their home games.

He plays primarily as a winger but can also play anywhere across the attacking line.

Manchester United, Chelsea, Arsenal, and Liverpool have been linked to the youngster. United wants a winger who can replace the ageing duo of Antonio Valencia and Ashley Young, and they see him as a credible long term solution to that problem.

Liverpool are looking for a speedy winger who can play from the left. They currently have only Saido Mane, and he operates from the right. Coutinho has been used on the left side of attack all season, but his natural position is from the Centre of Midfield.

It is reported that any team who signs the winger this summer would loan him back the Whitecaps to continue his development.
