In order to convince Kylian Mbappe that he can break into their first team, Real Madrid is set to sell Gareth Bale to Manchester United.
Reports yesterday suggested that Real Madrid has agreed on a deal with AS Monaco to sign Kylian Mbappe for £160 million, but it appears the player still needs to be convinced he has a place in Madrid’s line up.
Despite selling Alvaro Morata, Danilo, and loaning out James Rodriguez, Madrid only made £80 million as they were unable to sell Rodriguez.
More importantly is the fact that Mbappe feels the same BBC (Bale, Benzema, and Christiano) that stopped Alvaro Morata from having more first team opportunities, would block his path to the senior team.
Real Madrid believes selling Bale would make the player choose them ahead of Manchester City who has also entered the race for his signature.
Bale does not want to move to the Premier League except if he was joining Tottenham and has made that known to the board at Real Madrid. Madrid’s president is a fan of Bale and would most likely grant the Welsh man’s wish, but Zinedine Zidane would also be reluctant to bench Karim Benzema for Mbappe, while Ronaldo is almost untouchable in the team’s lineup.
