Manchester United’s bid to sign young AC Milan shot stopper, Gianluigi Donnarumma, has received a major boost after reports emerged that the youngster is struggling to agree a new deal with AC Milan.
The player’s agent is Mino Raiola who has key clients, Paul Pogba and Henrikh Mkhitaryan plying their trade with the Red Devils.
According to the source, the goal keeper, who is on £160,000 per season deal has been offered a new contract worth £3.4 million per season, but has been instructed by his agent not to sign on just yet.
Raiola wants clarification from the club’s new owners about their plans for the club before advising his client to sign.
It is believed that the keeper is happy in Milan and wants to play more than the 60+ times he has already starred for the club.
Manchester United want him to replace David De Gea, who looks set to move to Real Madrid in the summer. Jose Mourinho has recently asked the Spaniard to concentrate on his job at Old Trafford for now and discuss his future when the season ends.
