There has been growing speculation that Man Utd are on the verge of making a bid for Valencia youngster Carlos Soler which has promoted the Spaniards to issue a statement over the rumours.
According to Spanish media outfit Super Deporte, a Valencia spokesmen have denied that they are in discussions with anyone over any player in their team.
They did not name Soler specifically but it is obvious that they were referring to the 20-year-old.
Soler has come to the attention of some of Europes biggest clubs following a string of impressive performances and it is an absolute certainty that he will be subject to numerous rumours the minute the transfer window opens in January.
United are ready to offer £30 million, however, that is some £45 million below his release clause of £75 million and the chances are that one of the big clubs will offer close to that if there is any sign that Valencia is prepared to do business.
