Leicester City goalkeeper, Kasper Schmeichel has renewed hopes of moving to Manchester United to star for the former Premier League champions whom his legendary father played for.
The Dane who won the Premier League with Leicester City in 2016 has been interesting the Red Devils as a potential replacement David De Gea if he joins Real Madrid.
The deal appeared to be off for some time now after Real Madrid temporarily abandoned their pursuit of De Gea. The Los Blancos were trying to take advantage of AC Milan’s contract stand-off with Gianluigi Donrunma and sign the young Italian. But the Italy youth international has since agreed on a new deal at the San Siro ending Real’s pursuit.
Now Manchester United are bracing themselves for a new approach from the European champions.
De Gea is open to joining Madrid after he narrowly missed out on a return to the Spanish capital in the summer of 2015.
Schmeichel senior has told reporters of how delighted he would be if his son moved to Old Trafford.
Leicester City would likely demand £30 million for his signature as he signed a new 5 year deal with the Foxes last summer.
