According to the latest gossip, Man Utd manager Jose Mourinho is weighing up a sensational January swoop on former club Chelsea.
Apparently, Mourinho is eager to be reunited with Blues defender David Luiz at Old Trafford and may make his move for the Brazilian as soon as the winter transfer window opens up.
Mourinho has worked previously with Luiz but it should be remembered that he did allow him to leave Stamford Bridge for Paris St Germain in a £50 million deal.
Luiz is clearly not trusted by current Chelsea boss Antonio Conte and he may well allow the defender to leave if a big enough offer is made by United.
The Brazilian is back in the Chelsea squad but that does not mask the poor relationship between the player and manager and Mourinho is well adept at taking advantage of discord.
Chelsea have already shown that they will deal in the transfer market with United if the price is right, Nemanja Matic is proof of that.
