Manager of Chelsea target gives move “no chance” of happening this summer

Chelsea can kiss their pursuit of Alex Sandro this summer good bye after Juventus manager, Max Alegri told reporters they have no chance of signing the Brazilian this summer.

Alegri had told reporters that they would not be selling Sandro this summer while in Italy on Monday but had to reiterate that stance over the weekend after Spurs defeated the Old Lady in London.

When asked about the chance of the former Porto wing back joining Chelsea this summer, Alegri replied “No chance”, he further explained that the Brazilian is a Juventus player and would remain so until after this season at least.

Antonio Conte is desperate to sign a new wing back this summer after failing to land Danilo from Real Madrid. He has just Marcos Alonso and Victor Moses left as his current options and wants more squad backup.

Conte still has his eye on Southampton’s Ryan Bertrand, but the England international has not been tested as a wing back in a three-man defensive formation before.

This news will be a major blow to Conte’s plans with the new season just one week away. © 2017 Frontier Theme
