Manchester City is reportedly set to enter the transfer market once again with a huge £60 Million deal for Athletic Bilbao’s Aymeric Laporte, according to the English media.
The £60 Million in question is the release clause that City would have to pay if they are to force the sale through.
City has been linked with the 23 year old for some time now, Pep Guardiola is a confirmed admirer of the defender and they are hoping to complete the deal before the close of the transfer window next week.
This would be the fifth transfer completed by the Citizens this winter following deals for Shay Facey (Northampton Town), Isaac Buckley-Ricketts (Oxford United), Marlos Moreno (Flamengo) and Kean Bryan leaving the Premier League leaders.
Laporte would be their biggest deal by far and cement the policy being adopted by Guardiola and the type of player that he is looking to bring to the Etihad.
