Manchester City are planning to bolster their defensive ranks with quality reinforcements this summer. They have identified Leonardo Bonucci as a prime target. The Italian has been scouted by Pep Guardiola since the time he was manager of Bayern Munich.
The defender was linked with a move to the Etihad last summer but a deal could not be made with Juventus. However, Pep Guardiola is still keen on getting his man and Man City will try to tempt the player with a big money offer at the end of this season.
Reports in Italy claims that Man City and preparing to offer £52 million for the Italian hard man. This was the same figure that was rejected by the Old Lady last season, however city are confident that they would accept the offer this time around.
Middlesbrough defender, Ben Gibson, 24 is also attracting the interest of Man City. It is believed that a bid of around £25 million, will be enough to tempt Boro into selling the England international who received a late call up to the National team last week.
If Boro are relegated, Gibson is unlikely to follow them down to the Championship.
