Denmark and Ajax teenage attacker Kasper Dolberg is not keen on leaving the Eridivisie giants just yet. The 19-year-old had a breakthrough season during the 2016/2017 campaign and is set to continue from where he left off next season.
He scored 16 goals in 29 league games, and also netted five times as Ajax reached the final of the Europa League last season.
His performances had attracted the attention of several top European sides including Man Utd and many were keen to sign him so that he can continue his development with them.
United will no doubt be disappointed that the teenager prefers to stay in Holland and will now look elsewhere.
AS Roma reportedly made a bid of around £15 million for his signature but were promptly turned down with an extra message that he is not for sale.
When asked how he felt about his club’s stance, the happy Swede echoed the club’s position, saying he is not for sale as he is only focused on playing the club’s new attacker Jan Klas Huntelar.
Huntelar has returned to the club from Schalke 04, and Dolberg believes his signing gives him an opportunity to learn more about his position.
