Manchester might end up with former Tottenham star Gareth Bale as he continues to struggle to impress the Spanish media.
The Welshman has been falling from grace in his Real Madrid’s career and last weekend he reached a new low as he was booed by his club’s fans at the Bernabeu.
Although Zinedine Zidane defended him after the game, the Spanish media seem to have gotten enough of his disconnected performance and are encouraging the Los Merengues to sell him this week.
Jose Mourinho has targeted Bale this summer and famously said he would sign the attacker if he didn’t turn out for them in the Super Cup, but Bale played and the Portuguese manager promptly claimed the move was off.
However, with the emergence of Marco Asensio, the club may be willing to let Bale go as they look to give Karim Benzema a new deal.
Manchester United are expected to make at least one more signing with Jose Mourinho even optimistic that he can get two new arrivals.
Bale would cost at least £90 million in this season’s transfer market and it is only the Red Devils would be willing to make that investment this late in the summer.
