Manchester United’s manager Jose Mourinho may soon get his wish to sign a new winger, after Anthony Martial accepted to move the other way on loan.
The Portuguese manager was delighted to sign Nemanja Matic from Chelsea, but when asked if he was satisfied, he insisted he still wants a new winger, which made it obvious he had not given up on signing Ivan Perisic from Inter Milan.
Perisic has been on Jose Mourinho’s radar since last season, but he made an official move for his signature this summer, yet Inter have been unmoved about their asking price for the winger.
The Nerazzurri are asking for £50 million, but the Red Devils believe that is too much to ask for a player that is almost 30 years old.
Inter proposed a player plus cash deal earlier involving Anthony Martial, but the Frenchman’s improved form saw Mourinho reject their request.
Metro Sport is reporting that the Frenchman is willing to be used as part of any deal bringing Perisic to Old Trafford if Mourinho really wants the Croatian.
It is believed that Martial does not see a place for himself in the Red Devil’s first team if Perisic arrives.
