Manchester United are back in for their former transfer target, PSG’s Lucas Moura. The Brazilian winger has been outstanding since he moved to Paris four years ago, but he could have signed for United.
The Red Devils were among the many clubs interested in signing the Brazilian when he decided to move to Europe that summer, however, they were not prepared to spend big for an unproven player, PSG took the risk and the Brazilian signed for them for £40 million.
Jose Mourinho is now back for the winger as he looks to bolster his team ahead of a new season, that they hope to challenge for both the Premier League and Champions League trophy.
The Portuguese manager’s first choice is Chelsea’s Willian, but that move has already started witnessing difficulties and Mourinho isn’t interested in engaging in any transfer drama this summer. He also wants to get his transfer business done very early and that is why he has swiftly focused his attention on Moura.
Moura has won the French league in all the seasons he has played in France except this season, and with no European Cup yet, the Brazilian is eager to get a new challenge.
