Manchester United manager who a few weeks ago did not talk about a defender being a priority target appears to have sealed a deal for PSG full back, Serge Aurier.
This move would come as a huge surprise to the club’s fans who were not expecting a new defender this summer after Jose Mourinho claimed he needed just two more players – a midfielder and a winger.
However, Manchester Evening News is quoting a French source claiming the Red Devils have swooped in on the Ivorian who was left out of PSG’s team for preseason this summer.
Aurier’s future at the French capital has been thrown into a major doubt after the arrival of Dani Alves, and this saw him linked with several top European sides.
Aurier’s move to Manchester United would be a tough one for both the defender and the Red Devils. He was banned from playing in the UK last season after his record showed he had assaulted a police man in France.
He also got into more trouble after a video showed him making homophobic remarks towards his then manager Laurent Blanc as well as some of his team mates.
It would be interesting to see how fans of the Premier League would react to his signing.
