Jose Mourinho is still expecting his first summer signing as he continues his holiday. The Portuguese manager has informed journalists that he had handed over his list of players he wants to work with at Manchester United come next season to Ed Woodward ahead of the summer break.
United have been linked to several top players, and a striker is their main target after finishing the season as one of the lowest scoring top teams.
The Red Devils were favourites to sign Atletico Madrid’s forward Antoine Greizmann, but that move looks to be off after the Court of Arbitration for Sports upheld Atletico’s ban on signing new players.
Manchester United have turned their attention to other striker targets which include Real Madrid’s Alvaro Morata and Torino’s Andrea Belotti. However, Goal.com is reporting that Werder Bremen’s attacker Max Kruse has caught the attention of the Red Devils also.
The attacker hit top form towards the end of the season and scored 11 goals in as many games between March and May, and Mourinho has placed him outside his main targets. The Portuguese manager will move for him if he fails to land his preferred attacker.
