Manchester are aggressively scouting Celtic youngster, Kieran Tierney, who has continued to play a starring role in Celtic’s dominance of the Scottish Premiership.
The left back who is only 19, is playing in his second season as a professional and has been impressive so far, including in the 2-2 draw against Manchester City in the Champions league this season.
He has been on the watch list of major European sides before that match, however his performance that night drew further attention.
With top European clubs said to be circling around the player, it is thought that Celtic would demand a fee in excess of £10 million for the defender.
Mourinho is looking for reinforcements in his full back position, as he has been unimpressed by the duo of Luke Shaw and Matteo Darmian.
Darmian would favour a move back to Italy in the summer, his departure would mean that United would need a versatile full back to offer them more options, and Tieney who started at right back in Scotland’s last game seems to fit the bill.
United have made checks on his team mate, Mousa dembele and may compete for the French man’s signature in the summer.
