Marouane Fellaini has agreed to join Turkish giants Galatasaray if his Manchester United future remains unsorted this summer. The Big Belgian is one of the Red Devil’s stars that has divided opinions among the club’s fans since he moved there in 2013 as the only signing of the former boss, David Moyes.
He struggled to impress Louis Van Gaal, but has repeatedly been backed by the current boss, Jose Mourinho.
However, he has less than a year left on his current deal with United and there have been no offers from the club yet. Rather than discuss a new deal with Fellaini, United are set to sign Chelsea midfielder, Nemanja Matic, and the deal for the Serbian may throw Fellaini further down the pecking order at Old Trafford.
Mourinho loves Fellaini because of the aerial threat he provides his team going forward, but with the signing of Romelu Lukaku, that may no longer be required of him.
Fellaini hopes that he will be offered a new deal when they return from preseason, however, if no progress is made, he may ask to join Gala.
The Turks have confirmed that talks have begun with the midfielder’s representatives.
