Moneybags Chelsea and Man Utd set for mother of all bidding wars

Chelsea and Man Utd are ready to go head to head in the battle to sign Real Madrid play maker James Rodriguez, according to the Sunday press.

Apparently Rodriguez has had enough at Madrid and now wants a move, he is the sixth most expensive player in history and you can be certain that Real Madrid will want to recoup as much as they can.

Both Chelsea and United have the cash to spend big, United have already broken the world transfer fee record this year and will not hesitate at spending a massive amount again if they have to.

Chelsea can match United penny for penny, both in transfer fee and wages, and if they are determined to sign the the Columbian international then they will also be prepared to make a massive bid.

Rodriguez is only 25 years of age, he is world class and will still command a huge fee, he cost Madrid £63 Million and there is every chance that they can get at least £60 Million for one of the best players in the world.

The forward has fallen out with Real Madrid boss Zinedine Zidane, and it seems that he has no future at the Bernabeau, in better words, he will be sold.

The question is to whom and for how much and with both United and Chelsea very keen then the chances are it will be to a Premier League club for a massive amount of money.
