More bad news for Arsenal as hopes of hanging onto star man start to recede

Family members of Arsenal star Mesut Ozil wants the German to leave the Emirates this season. The midfielder who joined the Gunners for £42 million from Real Madrrid in 2013 has about 18 months left to run on his current deal.

Bayern Munich, Chelsea, Fenerbahce, and Manchester United are reportedly monitoring the player’s contract situation, with plans to sign him this summer.

Ozil has indicated that he is open to a return to Germany, admitting that he cannot rule that out right now.
He went on to state that most of his family members, especially his mum would prefer him playing closer to the family.

The German has found himself in the middle of a contract dispute after his agent and the club failed to reach an agreement over a new contract. Arsenal is believed to have offered the German a contract of £200,000 per week, but he is unwilling to sign the papers because he wants clarification on the future of Arsene Wenger.

Alexis Sanchez is also yet to sign a contract extension with the Gunners, however it is believed that Ozil would most likely remain a Gunner come next season out of the two superstars.
