John Terry will put pen to paper on a new one-year contract at Chelsea, Blues boss Jose Mourinho has confirmed.
The Portuguese tactician revealed on Friday that the Chelsea defender will sign his new deal at the end of the season, with all parties pleased with the extension.
As quoted on the Sky Sports website, Mourinho said: ‘John accepted that we go year-after-year, with a smile. He accepted the challenge and he won it and he is winning the challenge and the right to get one more year,’ Mourinho said.
‘That is what the club wants, that’s what John wants and that is going to happen.’
