Chelsea Captain John Terry will be offered a new contract by the Premier League leaders with his current deal expiring at the end of the season, according to boss Jose Mourinho.
The 34 year old has made more than 550 appearances for the club since signing professional terms in 1998.
And amid talk that he could leave to sign up in the MLS, Mourinho has revealed the defender will get a new contract.
“I can guarantee he will be a Chelsea player next season,” said Mourinho on the Sky Sports website.
“I know what my board tells me – no doubts he’s going to get his contract.”
