Arsenal boss Arsene Wenger is set to open talks with Lukas Podolski, as the German wants to discuss his future at the club.
The Germany World Cup winner is yet to start in the Premier League for the Gunners this season and was once again left on the bench for the entirety of Saturday’s 2-1 home defeat to Manchester United.
Now Podolski has revealed he is not prepared to continue watching from the sidelines and is planning crunch talks with Wenger.
As quoted on the Daily Star website, he said: “I love London, I love the club but I don’t like the situation.
“I’m not a buffoon who sits out his contract in the stands.
“I have to try to talk to Arsene Wenger. I want a fair chance.”
