New Manchester City signing Enes Ünal has spoken on the struggles he has had adapting to his new surroundings and to the ‘exhausting’ pre-season training camp he endured when he joined the club, so much so that he claims the first few sessions made him ‘throw up’ due to the high temp of it.
Speaking to ‘FourFourTwo’, Ünal told them:
“In Turkey, the pre-season camps start with adapting to conditions, physical tests and light training. But it wasn’t like I expected here,”
“In the first training session, the tempo was so high that I was about to throw up. I started to get used to it slowly and become more comfortable physically and mentally.”
It has to be said this 18 year old certainly has a bright future in the game, and is already highly thought of in his native Turkey and is still currently the record holder for the youngest scorer in the Turkish Super League, that he achieved in 2013.
