Newcastle United have already finalised two deals for midfielders Henri Saivetn and Jonjo Shelvey for a fee of £16 million, but the Magpies have not finished yet. They now want to boost their front-line in this January window.
Swansea City’s Bafetimbi Gomis was once a target for United, and now Alan Curtis, the Swansea manager, has offered Newcastle the chance to finally sign him.
Gomis is not the only forward that Newcastle have been linked with, Alexandre Pato is also being linked with a move to St James Park.
Pato has also been offered to Liverpool and Chelsea, as well as a variety of clubs in both Italy and Spain. It will be interesting to see where he ends up.
