Long-term Arsenal target Micah Richards says the Premier League suits his style best, but doesn’t think he’ll play for parent club Manchester City again.
The 26-year-old defender, on loan at Fiorentina, said he wasn’t happy with sitting on the bench at the Etihad Stadium, but has nothing against Manuel Pellegrini.
As quoted on the Sky Sports website, he said: “I don’t think [I’ll go back to City]. I think it’s in the past now. Obviously I’d love to play for them again, but they have so many players, the budget is so high.”
And although the Birmingham-born England international doesn’t necessarily see his future in Serie A, he says he has bought into the Italian lifestyle.
“It’s a lot more defensive, teams just come and try and get a point. The Premier League is more fast and furious, a bit more entertaining. Here some teams just accept defeat.
