Powerhouse ‘plays last game’ ahead of big Arsenal move?

Long-term Arsenal target Cheick Tiote could well have played his last game for Newcastle after being ruled out for the rest of the season with a knee injury, according to the Daily Mail website.

The midfielder returned to Tyneside earlier this month having picked up the injury with the Ivory Coast at the Africa Cup of Nations in January.

Tiote underwent an operation on Sunday in Qatar and will remain in the Middle East during the early part of his rehabilitation.

The Gunners have been heavily linked with a move as Arsene Wenger is a massive fan of his ability.
