Leicester forward Andrej Kramaric has revealed that he turned down a move to Chelsea in the January transfer window.
Kramaric, 23, was heavily linked with a move to Stamford Bridge following a stunning first-half to the season with Croatian giants Riejka.
However, he turned down the opportunity to move to west London and opted to join the Foxes instead.
As quoted on the Daily Star website, he said: “I never had a chance to meet Jose Mourinho, it is true there was an option for me to join Chelsea.
“It wasn’t an easy decision for me, but after I heard I was supposed to go on loan somewhere outside England, I rejected Chelsea and chose Leicester because I wanted to feel real football, I wanted to play in Premier League!
“I’ve played against Man United, Man City and Arsenal, and I am not impressed at all by their strength. Chelsea is one step ahead of all the others.”
