Real Madrid are almost certain to enter the transfer market in the summer in a big way with Chelsea’s Eden Hazard and Liverpool’s Mohamed Salah right at the top of their wish list.
Hazard has been on the Madrid radar for some time now and it was expected that it would be the Belgium that would end up signing for the European Champions, however, it is Salah that is now firmly the number one target for Zinedine Zidane.
Salah has burst on to the scene this season with Liverpool and clubs have taken notice all over Europe but with their spending power and the fact they are determined to bring in a huge signing to replace Karim Benzema and/or Gareth Bale you have to think that the Spanish giants will land at least one of their top targets.
It is obviously good news for Chelsea if Real have turned their attention elsewhere and bad news for Liverpool who will now face the prospect of a repeat of the Phillipe Coutinho saga that saw the Brazilian move to Barcelona after a massive bid from Barca.
Things can still change, Hazard may well end up back at the top of the Real shopping list but as things stand now it is Salah and not Hazard that is the priority for Los Blancos.
What is almost certain though is that either Hazard or Salah will depart English football in the summer.
