Tottenham have been offered a player they should consider their first summer signing.
According to online media, Spurs have been offered Mateo Kovacic by Real Madrid as the Spanish giants try to raise money for the transfer of Kyllian Mbappe.
Tottenham has had a quiet transfer window so far, but Mauricio Pochettino is a known admirer of the Croatian midfielder.
Kovacic has been reduced to just a squad player at Real Madrid so far, and the Galaticos are looking to cash in.
Real Madrid is actively pursuing a deal for AS Monaco wonder kid Kyllian Mbappe, and have told him they are coming for him. But any potential move for Mbappe would require them to sell some of their stars to raise money and free up space, and they have been struggling to offload James Rodriguez, and Alvaro Morata after Manchester United pulled out of a deal for the latter.
Spurs might, however, find it hard to sign Kovacic due to their strict wage structure. The Croatian is on a huge pay package at the Bernabeu, and Tottenham would have to at least match his current earnings if they cannot exceed it.
