Manchester united have encountered a fierce opponent in their pursuit of Monaco’s teenage sensation Kylian Mbappe. Real Madrid are now interested and believe the prodigiously talented youngster is capable of filling Christiano Ronaldo’s shoes when he retires.
Mbappe has been a revelation this season, scoring 19 goals and assisting a further five. This form has attracted the attention of Manchester United who believe he is the best player to replace Wayne Rooney.
United signed Wayne Rooney as a youngster from Everton, and he has gone on to bring both domestic and European glory to Old Trafford, as well as becoming the club’s all-time leading goal scorer. United believe that Mbappe has the ability to make as much impact and are willing to shattered the world record fee they paid for Paul Pogba last summer to get the youngster to England.
Real Madrid believe they can beat United to the player’s signature if they act fast, but united are also actively trying to persuade the player to sign for them.
Mbappe’s contract runs out in 2019 and United remain confident they can persuade the youngster to set up camp at Old Trafford.
