Liverpool boss Brendan Rodgers has given Fabio Borini hope that he could have a future at Anfield.
He had previously worked under Rodgers at Chelsea and Swansea City so was excited to get going at Anfield.
But his time at Anfield has so far been frustrating and he has failed to make any sort of impact on the first team.
However, Rodgers has hinted that Borini could start to feature more after putting in an excellent performance in the Capital One Cup.
As quoted on the Sky Sports website, Rodgers said:”With Daniel out, of course it’s a miss, but it’s an opportunity.
“The other night we gave an opportunity to players who haven’t featured so much and they were outstanding.
“Fabio Borini was excellent, a real threat. He put in a wonderful cross for the first goal and did very, very well.”
