Brazilian Coutinho is fully committed to the Liverpool cause, he has admitted.
Coutinho – who joined Brendan Rodgers’ revolution two years ago – is more in awe of the club he plays for than in need of silverware guarantees.
And the Brazilian “did not have to think twice” before signing a new contract in February and committing his future to Liverpool, whether they make it to the Champions League or not.
As quoted on the Sky Sports website, he said: “My mind is at Liverpool. I’m a Liverpool player and I don’t think about those things because I’m happy here and want to be here.
“Our aim is always to start the season thinking of winning titles and trophies. The Champions League is not out of reach yet mathematically, there are still possibilities, even though it is not 100 per cent in our hands.
“We’re in the semi-finals of a great competition and will do our best to win the FA Cup – it matters a lot to us as a club.”
