After helping Manchester United clinch the Europa League trophy and help the club return to the UEFA Champions League next season, Jose Mourinho is in line to sign a new Manchester United contract.
Winning three trophies in his first season has helped convince Manchester United that the Portuguese manager is the coach they need for the long term and they are set to offer him a contract extension before the beginning of the new season.
Jose Mourinho is just one year into his current deal, which sees him pocket about £20 million per season, but he may get an improved salary in his new deal.
The Portuguese manager has developed a very good relationship with the club’s chairman Ed Woodward, and that has seen them agree on where the club is headed.
Mourinho is set to get at least £200 million to sign his transfer targets this summer and claims he had already known who he needed as early as March.
This new deal would see Mourinho remain at Old Trafford beyond the summer of 2020.
