Arsenal have been handed a major boost in their pursuit of Palermo forward Paulo Dybala, according to the Metro.
Dybala has been linked with a move to several European clubs in recent weeks after scoring 13 Serie A goals for Palermo so far this season, and Arsenal have been mentioned on numerous occasions about a possible deal.
But despite admitting he would be happy to stay in Italy, Dybala has also revealed his interest in plying his trade in England’s top-flight.
‘I don’t speak English or French, but that doesn’t mean anything,’ the in-demand Palermo man told Italian publication La Gazzetta dello Sport.
‘To play in the Champions League is everyone’s dream and I would like to do so. I won’t deny it.’
He added: ‘I have a lot of affection for Italy – it’s where I became famous – and I would be happy to stay here.’
