Former Barcelona president Joan Laporte has dismissed reports suggesting he held talks with Jose Mourinho’s agent over a possible move to the Nou Camp.
Reports have claimed Laporta held talks last week with the Special One’s agent, Jorge Mendes, over a shock move to the Nou Camp.
But Laporte has rubbished those reports.
As quoted on the Daily Star website, he said: “My style of coaching is with the [Johan] Cruyff philosophy.
“Mourinho is a great professional and I respect him, but I did not mention him with Jorge Mendes, a person with whom I have a good friendship for many years.
“From time to time, we talk about things.”
