Sevilla has confirmed that they are interested in bringing back Man City forward Jesus Navas to the club. The fleet footed winger rose to prominence in Seville, and it is believed that he wants to end his career at the club.
Navas has been used on only 15 occasions this season by City manager Pep Guardiola, who prefers to use Leroy Sane and Raheem Sterling.
Navas Spent 10 years at Sevilla before joining City in the summer of 2013. His won the Premier League with them in 2014, but his time at the club seems to have come to an end.
He is unlikely to be offered a new deal, this has opened up a possibility of a move back home. Confirming the rumours, president of Sevilla Jose Castro, said that they are aware of his contract situation, informing reporters that they know of the player’s desire to play for them again.
However, he said this is not the best time to discuss summer transfers as they want to concentrate on qualifying for the Champions League.
Sevilla are also linked with a move for Liverpool’s Alberto Moreno, but the club’s president has dismissed the possibility of the full back rejoining them.
