Spanish suitors under pressure to complete signing of Chelsea ace

Atletico Madrid is under serious pressure from their manager to complete the signing of unwanted Chelsea attacker Diego Costa.

The Brazil-born Spain international has been told by Chelsea boss Antonio Conte that his services are no longer required at Stamford Bridge. He has not reported to training with the Blues, and although he is keen on settling issues with his manager, the club does not expect him to report for preseason.

Atletico is his preferred destination, their manager Diego Simeone is desperate to have him and has reportedly put pressure on the club to complete the signing soon enough.

Chelsea has quoted £30 million for the attacker, and expect the Spaniards to be willing to meet that amount. However, they need to find a solution to where he would play during the first half of next season due to their transfer ban.

Chelsea has signed only one player this summer, as German defender Antonio Rudiger has completed his switch from AS Roma. But they expect to complete the signing of Alvaro Morata within the week as the replacement for Costa.
