Brazilian striker Alex Pato claims Manchester United made an approach for him on deadline day.
The former AC Milan striker, who currently plays for Sao Paulo FC back in his homeland, was linked with a move to the Red Devils in the summer, as they looked to add a bit more fire-power to their attack.
And amid talk that a possible January move could happen, Pato has admitted that contact was made with Louis Van Gaal’s men.
As quoted on the Daily Mirror website, he said: “I won’t lie: two hours before the deadline I had a really good offer from Manchester United.
“I was expecting it, but actually only found out about it afterwards.”
