Swansea set to complete the signing of Liverpool top target

Liverpool is set to lose out to Swansea City for the signing of Renato Sanches from Bayern Munich.

The Portugal international is away on international duty with the Portuguese youth team but he is expected to undergo his medical there.

BBC’s Juliette Ferrington is reporting that only paperwork is standing in the way of the deal and should be announced any moment from now.

Sanches, European Golden boy of 2016, has been a target for Liverpool and Chelsea after Bayern Munich said he was available for a loan deal.

However, the Premier League duo failed to capture his signature because both the player and his club feel he would not be afforded the playing time his development demands this season.

Liverpool also wanted to sign him on loan with a possibility of making the deal permanent next summer as they prepare to be without Emre Can who appears to be heading out of Anfield for free next season, but Bayern Munich wanted only a temporary home for him.
