Top-class star puts massive smiles on Tottenham fans faces

Tottenham defender Jan Vertonghen has played down reports that he is unhappy at White Hart Lane.

The Belgian defender has been linked with a move away from the club since chairman Daniel Levy dismissed Andre Villas Boas back in December.

However, Vertonghen has rubbished the claims and made it clear that he will stay in  north London club regardless of who is in charge at the start of the season.

As quoted on the Daily Star website, he said: “I’ve got a couple more years at Tottenham and I’m happy and I want to stay there so it doesn’t matter who the manager will be.”
